Mrs Joy Penn was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the National Bank of the Virgin Islands Limited in 2013. Mrs Penn is responsible for the leadership and execution of organizational strategy, with the ultimate goal of making NBVI the leading commercial banking institution in the Virgin Islands.
She has over sixteen (16) years of experience in the banking industry and held the post of Vice President and Manager of the Commercial Loans Division for a leading financial institution before her tenure at the Bank. She is an executive member of the BVI Bank Association. She serves on the Board of Trustees of the Multi-Employer (BVI) Pension Plan and as Compliance Officer of the Ivan Dawson Memorial Scholarship Committee local non-profit organization. In her earlier years, Mrs Penn served as a Finance Lecturer and Researcher for the Financial Services Institute (now Robert Mathavious Institute) at the H. Lavity Stoutt Community College, specializing in Finance, Investments and Securities Markets.
